Dual wall piece, hanging on a vintage Ski. Made with hand spun camel wool, hand spun alpaca and raw alpaca wool. Vintage yarns, roving wool, Peruvian sheep yarn upcycled vintage lace and fabric. Vintage fur, mink and fox. Ski hung with hand forged hooks.

Amanda Armstrong is a fiber artist and a nature enthusiast who draws inspiration for her textile works from a variety of textures and colors. Each beautiful wall hanging is created by hand-weaving large and thin chunks of wool into fluffy yarns, creating very textural, tactile sculptures.

"For me, weaving projects a mood," Amanda adds. To make designs that feel balanced, I go with my gut. Being very visual and constantly observing my environment, I think my work reflects this."
